Enrollment Eligibility

To be eligible, participants must live or work in Reno County.

Tuition

Tuition is $475 per person. A limited number of partial and full scholarships are available. Contact Lynette Lacy 669-7954 for a scholarship application (separate from the program application.)

Application

Applications are accepted at anytime. The next class selection will be in August 2008 for the 2008 Fall class. To be considered for the 2008 Fall class, applications must be received no later than Thursday, July 31, 2008.

Expectations

Participants are required to attend all sessions, including the two-day overnight retreat. Any absence, regardless of reason, must be excused by one of the program co-chairs. Participants unable to attend all sessions may, at the discretion of the co-chairs, be withdrawn from the program. In such cases, there will not be a tuition refund.

Participants are also required to complete at least ten community exposure visitations (trips to various businesses, organizations and meetings throughout the community at times other than during class sessions) and to practice the skills taught during the sessions.

Participants are required to complete a community project (time will be given during each session for project work, however participants can anticipate additional out-of-class time will be required as well.)

College Credit

For an additional tuition fee, participants are eligible to receive three college credits through Hutchinson Community College (HCC). In addition to participating in all class sessions, community exposures, practical exercises and project work; participants are required to complete additional readings and submit written responses.
