In 2010, Siemens Wind Power opened their North American nacelle plant in Hutchinson, creating 400 new jobs and investing upwards of $50 million in the community. As a result, in 2010 the Italian company Draka Cableteq located an assembly plant in Hutchinson in order to supply the Siemens plant. In 2007, Collins Bus Corporation expanded to accomodate additional product lines. Also in 2007, Daymon Worldwide located a business service center in Hutchinson, and in 2010 they doubled the size of their facility. 

There is plenty of room to grow in local available buildings and sites, and 155 acres remain in the shovel ready Salt City Business Park.
